Einstein Summersweet (Clethra Alnifolia) – 3 Gallon Pot

Bearing an abundance of long flower wands up to 12 inches in length that twist in all directions, it’s no wonder this unique and interesting Clethra cultivar was named after Albert Einstein. The sweet scented creamy white flowers appear in profusion during the hottest part of summer, and are a favorite of hummingbirds, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators. The bright flowers stand out beautifully against the glossy, oval-shaped dark green leaves that turn yellow in fall. Exceptionally versatile and easy to grow, this North American native shrub is right at home in moist to boggy soils and full sun to mostly shade. More compact than the species, Einstein grows in a rounded mound 3 to 4 feet tall and equally as wide.
