A moss look-alike plant that quickly forms a low carpet of golden to chartreuse lushness, Scotch Moss is perfect for use as a groundcover in large or small garden beds or as a soil cover in containers. It looks especially nice around boulders and garden ponds or between stepping stones in garden paths, where it holds up well to moderate foot traffic. Tiny white flowers sit just above the foliage in spring to mid summer. The plant will tolerate full sun in cooler climates but appreciates afternoon shade in the warmer South.
