Graceful Bamboo (Slender Weavers) – Bambusa Textilis ‘Gracilis’ – 2 Gallon Pot

A graceful and all-green beauty, the Graceful Bamboo, also called Slender Weavers Bamboo, is a fine, tight clumping and very erect bamboo perfect for use as a focal point specimen or to rapidly form a solid privacy screen in just a year. The foliage at the tops of the branches gracefully arch, hence the name. A very fast grower to 25 feet in just a couple years, this bamboo forms a super-tight clump of 1 inch diameter culms just a few feet wide in only two years. It’s also a nice container plant for use on patios and around other sitting areas and can be grown in well-lit indoor spaces provided the ceiling is high enough to accommodate a plant that could reach 10 to 12 feet in height. Graceful Bamboo loves as much sun as you can give her and is hardy to 15°F.

Note:  For our customers who live and garden north of USDA Plant Hardiness Zone 8b, where this Bamboo variety is not reliably winter hardy, you’ll be happy to know it can be grown in containers that can be brought indoors during winter and placed back outside when temperatures warm up in spring.
