From late spring through late summer to early fall, its carpet of succulent foliage is smothered in glowing orange flowers with petals tipped in red. During the rest of the year, the evergreen foliage forms a weed-blocking dense carpet of emerald green succulent leaves that reach 4-6 inches tall, spreading to 14 inches or more wide. It is easy to grow and thrives in sunny, dry spots-well-draining soil is a must. You might also be happy that the deer and rabbits turn their nose to it. Excellent for garden beds and containers.
