This is the single-trunk tree form version of ‘Pink Velour’, a truly spectacular mid-size Crape Myrtle that features dramatic wine red new leaves, dark purplish-green mature leaves, and large clusters of some of the most vibrant pink flowers you’ve ever seen. The bloom occurs over a long period in summer. If the first round of flowers are deadheaded Pink Velour will produce another flush of flowers late summer through mid-fall! At 8 to 12 feet tall and 8 to 10 feet wide, Pink Velour is sure to provide an outstanding focal point specimen in a sunny landscape border or home foundation planting. Can also be grown in large containers that can be situated on or around patios, decks and other outdoor sitting and living spaces. You might be happy to know that Pink Velour is highly resistant to powdery mildew and Cercospora leaf spot.

Growing to 8 to 12 feet tall and 8 to 10 feet or so wide, the Pink Velour Single Trunk Crape Myrtle Tree is an ideal for use as a focal point specimen in small to medium garden spaces and home foundation plantings. Growing Preferences
The Pink Velour Crape Myrtle Tree is very easy to grow in most any moist but well-drained soil of average fertility and full to mostly sun. We suggest 6 hours or more of direct sunlight per day for best flowering and overall performance. Has shown excellent resistance to powdery mildew and is quite drought tolerant when established. No pruning is required however can be pruned for shaping purposes before new growth emerges in late winter to very early spring.
