Description
Its twisted, snake-like trunk, and cascading branches that rain to the ground covered in powder-blue needles, puts the Serpentine Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar in a class all its own, bringing charismatic personality to any landscape it inhabits. A dazzling focal specimen that is sure to bring movement and energy to your landscape!
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing slowly to about 10 feet tall and wide over time, the Serpentine Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar is ideal for use as a focal point specimen in sunny areas, as espalier against a wall, or to mark both sides of an entryway. A fine addition to rock gardens, conifer gardens, wildlife gardens, and Xeriscape gardens (low water needs).Â
Growing Preferences
The Blue Atlas Cedar is very easy to grow in most any average soil that is well-drained and full to mostly sun. Standing water or constantly soggy or wet soil can be problematic. Maintenance is minimal with minimal pruning required. That said, branches can be removed selectively to achieve a desired size or shape. Exceptionally drought tolerant when established. We’ve seen no insect or disease problems.
